Capacity Building, Awareness and outreach activities under United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (2007 –2012)

RTM International has been conducting various capacity building and training programs in the refugee camps for Myanmar refugees at Ukiah and Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar district for ensuring sustainable healthcare interventions in the camps. A total of 24 Community Trained Birth Attendants were trained for providing maternal and neo-born care and counseling services at the doorsteps. Thirty eight peer educators were groomed up through training in the area of STI, RTI, HIV/AIDS. Over 100 youth and adolescents were provided training on healthcare issues for awareness building in the community. In addition training on various technical topics of MCH, FP and other RH issues are being provided to project staff from time to time.
