RTM-Al Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU) stands in an ideal position to provide career-focused courses to develop students’ knowledge and skills needed for success in today’s professional world.  There is a growing demand for individuals who are equipped with knowledge and practical skills to become competent leaders with a focus on sustainable development in Bangladesh and worldwide. RTM-AKTU in combining academic teaching and practical learning experiences in a technology-rich environment will equip students for a changing world and workplace. RTM-AKTU’s aim is to prepare students with a broad range of skills through a systematic approach for success in academic study, employment and life. RTM-AKTU intends to be a skill based, market driven and industry-focused 21st century global university. This will be accomplished through the use of a contemporary academic curriculum in combination with workplace internships and hands-on training opportunities.
 
RTM-AKTU is founded by the valiant freedom fighter Dr. Ahmed Al Kabir with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE) under the Private University Act of 2010. The University’s governance and the competency-based training and education (CBTE) program will be guided by the Academic Council, the Syndicate, and the RTM-AKTU Trustee board registered with the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and with the Registrar, Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh.
