Research, Training, and Management International
(RTMI) is a national NGO, head quarter is in Dhaka and a Field Office in
Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. Apart from the research and training components,
RTMI is also managing a number of projects in health, nutrition,
protection and livelihoods. All these programs are supported by the
Government of Bangladesh, donor agencies with UN and International
organizations, e.g. UNFPA, WB, UNICEF, IOM, UN Women, etc. To support,
coordinate and manage Comprehensive PHC Services to Rohingya Refugees
and Host Community, RTMI needs a dynamic, proactive and hard-working
team player for its Cox’s Bazar Field Office team being based in Ukhiya.

Educational requirements:
• Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery with BNMC registration.

• Proficiency in basic nursing procedures, wound care, medication administration, and patient assessment.

• Experience in developing and implementing quality assurance plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).
Experience and other Requirements:
Following capabilities are mandatory –
• Good communication skills in Bangla and English.
• Chattagram local language will be given preference. Work experience at Rohiynga refugee camp will be an asset.

Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of Medical Officer, the Nurse will perform:
• Provide nursing and midwifery services to the patients.
• Provide intensive care during referring the patient.
• Provide ANC, PNC services
• Group, family and individual counseling on complication associated with pregnancy and child birth.
• Special counseling/continuous/close observation to the patient and their family members for any risk factors associated with pregnancy, to orient on special management during any complication due to presence of risk factors, birth preparedness.
• Promote decision for shifting patients from facility to birthing unit through pre-counseling to the family members during birth preparedness.
• Mentor, monitor and validate the information collected by CHWs and provide feedback and technical advice to the pregnant mothers through CHWs
• Report/brief to Medical Officer regarding condition of the pregnant mother.
• Ensure cleanliness, keep instruments and equipment serviceable and usable condition
• Keep all arrangements ready for infection prevention
• Keep all materials for recording and reporting ready for use
• Duly fill the referral form (during referral) and consent form to communicate the actual condition of the patient with the referred facility.
• Support in ensuring Quality of care in Birthing Unit (B/U).
• Supervise activities of Birthing Unit level support staff (cleaner, guard) for ensuring the cleanliness, infection prevention including waste management, timely food supply for clients.
• Maintain registers/ records in Birthing Unit
• Any other responsibility assigned by the authority
