International NGO working in the Cox’s Bazar to implement different
projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNICEF and others
development partners. To provide Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
services in different location RTM requires to fill up vacancies in
Maternal Health Coordination Officer positions.

Position: Medical Officer (Female)
Number of Vacancies:
• One (01).
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Outpatient Department (OPD), diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and managing chronic conditions.
2. Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients, ensuring high-quality healthcare services.
3. Provide counselling and support to patients regarding sexual and reproductive health issues, family planning, and preventive healthcare measures.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and counsellors, to coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up services.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting medical histories, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
6. Participate in health education and awareness programs, conducting community outreach activities to promote SRH services and raise awareness about preventive healthcare measures.
7. Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, interns, and residents, providing guidance and support in clinical practice and professional development.
8. Collaborate with the management to plan and implement SRH and OPD services, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient care.
9. Stay updated with medical research, treatment protocols, and advancements in SRH and OPD practices, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
10. Adhere to medical ethics and legal standards, upholding patient confidentiality and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in both SRH and OPD settings.
11. Collaborate with other medical departments and specialists to provide comprehensive healthcare to patients with complex medical conditions.
12. Participate in on-call duties, responding to emergencies and providing immediate medical intervention as needed.
13. Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
14. Engage in community outreach programs, providing educational sessions on women’s health, family planning, and preventive care.
15. Collaborate with the management team to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient satisfaction.
16. Uphold the hospital’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
17. Provide compassionate and empathetic care, addressing patients’ concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience.
18. Collaborate with medical researchers and participate in clinical trials and studies, contributing to the advancement of SRH and OPD knowledge.
19. Actively engage in professional development activities, such as attending medical workshops, seminars, and conferences.
20. Collaborate with social workers and counsellors to provide emotional support and counselling to patients dealing with fertility issues, pregnancy loss, or other emotional challenges.
21. Any other responsibilities given by the authority.

Employment Status:
• Contractual.
Job Location:
• Sabrang, Teknaf (Cox’sbazar).
Educational requirements:
• MBBS Completed any reputed medical institute. Must have registration from Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
Experience and other Requirements:
Minimum 1-year experience in the related field-
• Post-graduation training in gynecology & obstetric at least 6 months will be an asset.
• CMU/DMU will be an asset.
• Good communication skills in both English and Bangla.
