Job Announcement for the position of Maternal Health Coordination Officer
Research, Training and Management (RTM) International NGO working in the Cox’s Bazar to implement different projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNICEF and others development partners. To provide Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in different location RTM requires to fill up vacancies in Maternal Health Coordination Officer positions.

Position: Maternal Health Coordination Officer
Number of Vacancies:
• One (01).
Job Responsibilities:
• Work as a focal point for Maternal and Perinatal Mortality Surveillance and Response (MPMSR) system, and the MPMSR committee under the technical guidance of the in the Rohingya Refugee Response
• Liaising with all the partners of the SRH-WG and Health sector in order to ensure implementation of the MPMSR system in the Rohingya Refugee Response.
• Coordinate the activities of the MPMSR committee with all the partners of the SRH-WG
• Ensure timely facilitation of facility based maternal death reviews in the SRH facilities in Camp, field hospitals and other facilities in response to the notified facility deaths as per guidelines of the MPMSR committee
• Maintenance of the information management system for maternal & neonatal death reviews and community WRA mortality surveillance
• Utilize the mortality data for improvement of maternal land neonatal health and reduce deaths in Rohingya community.
• Perform data analysis and reports to highlights the findings of the maternal death reviews and WRA mortality surveillance on quarterly basis.
• Dissemination of results, recommendations and responses to transform the research into action and sustain the surveillance system.
• Contribute and support in the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for MPMSR system.
• Coordinate capacity building and training sessions for MPMSR activities

Educational requirements:
• Medical graduate with Masters in Public Health having minimum 2 years of work experience.
Experience and other Requirements:
Following capabilities are required:
• A mix of clinical and public health experience in low resource settings.
• Demonstrated experience in maternal health issues and service delivery.
• Familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Demonstrated proficiency in management of information management systems: use of Kobo, ODK toolkit and other data analysis software like STATA.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Excellent implementation research skills and good in scientific write up.
• Excellent speaking and writing skills and excellent communications (in English and Bengali) and inter-personal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working successfully as a member of multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to self-manage, emotional intelligence, empathy, team spirit, conflict management as well as negotiating skills.
• Practical experience facilitating and training of staff and partners, preferably for SRHR¬ related activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and resource-constrained environment.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in the local language is desirable.
