Job Circular for the position of Adolescent Health Educator
Research, Training, and Management (RTM) International (NGO) is working in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char to implement different projects supported by the Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, and other development partners. To provide health education to adolescents in different locations, RTM requires filling the abovementioned vacancy.
Name of the Position:
• Adolescent Health Educator- Female.
Employment requirement and areas:
• RTM International requires Adolescent Health Educator for the health education to the adolescent regarding SRH and Maternal health services.
• Candidates with knowledge and skills in health education in SRH, MNCH services will be preferred.
• Organized health education session and conduct session with BCC/IEC materials demonstration.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement educational programs and workshops focused on adolescent health, covering topics such as reproductive health, mental health, nutrition, substance abuse, and healthy lifestyles.
2. Regular service mapping in the catchment area of ASRH corner.
3. Conduct health education sessions at the adolescent corners with the adolescent pregnant mothers (YMSGP).
4. Time to time upload of session data in KoBo software.
5. Close linkage with the Midwives and keeping them updated about the adolescent pregnant mothers in the catchment area for ANC, Facility delivery and PNC.
6. Close linkage with FP service providers and keeping them updated about the adolescent mothers in the catchment area who need family planning methods.
7. Better collaboration with the CHWs for case follows up and referral.
8. Consultation with husbands, in-laws and parents of adolescent pregnant mothers for better service uptake.
9. Functioning the referral mechanism for effective health response to GBV cases maintaining client’s confidentiality and privacy.
10. Providing SRH information/ the sharing the phone number of centre’s which is dedicated for 24/7 services so that any girls feel confident that they will get services.
11. Taking note, making record of participants, referral and follow up record to understand the progress and impact of the ASRH corner in relation to service uptakes along with improved ASRH information.
12. Provide accurate and age-appropriate information to adolescents, addressing their questions and concerns about physical, emotional, and social well-being.
13. Engage in outreach activities to raise awareness about adolescent health issues, advocating for the importance of preventive healthcare and regular check-ups.
14. Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in adolescent health education, attending conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.

Educational requirements:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent degree from any recognized institute. Experience candidates will be preferred
• Relevant work experienced candidate will get higher priority.
Experience and other Requirements:
Following capabilities are mandatory --
* Good communication skills in Bangla and English.
* Chattagram local language will be given preference. Work experience at Rohiynga refugee camp will be an asset.
