Job Circular for the position of Sonologist
Research, Training and Management (RTM) International NGO working in the Cox’s Bazar to implement different projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF and others development partners. To provide Ultrasonography services through ‘’Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP)’’ for the host community population in the Upazila Health Complex of Cox’s Bazar District.

Employment requirement and areas:
• RTM International requires Sonologist for the disciplines of Ultrasonography services to the patients.
• Candidates with knowledge and skills in Ultrasonography services will be preferred.
• Candidate Must have Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU).

• Medical graduate (M.B.B.S.) with updated BMDC registration.
• Having certificate of Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU).

• Experienced in Ultrasound.
• Good communication skills in both English and Bangla.

1. Conducting ultrasound examinations on patients to create images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
2. Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients, preparing them for the examination, and ensuring their comfort during the process.
3. Ensuring clear images for diagnostic purposes and adjusting the sonographic equipment when necessary.
4. Completing the appropriate documentation and maintaining patients’ histories and medical records.
5. Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and sterile environment to prevent the spread of infections.
6. Maintaining privacy of all ultrasonography procedure at ultrasound room.
7. Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly calibrated.
8. Forecast requisition for logistics used during sonography at least one month before stock out.
9. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as radiologists and physicians, to interpret ultrasound findings in collaboration with the Govt. and NGOs.
10. To work in coordination/guidance with Project Manager, others colleagues and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer (UH&FPO)
11. Any other responsibility assigned by the authority.
