Research, Training and Management (RTM) International NGO working in the Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char to implement different projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF and others development partners. To provide Lab activities in different location, RTM requires to fill up some vacancies in different areas in Lab Technician positions.

• Diploma in Medical Technology course/ BSc in Medical Lab Technology under The State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh.
• Conduct a variety of laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision in the results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are properly calibrated, sterilized, and in working condition.
• Collect and handle samples, following established protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure reliable test results.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment and reagents, maintaining high standards of laboratory safety and accuracy in test outcomes.
• Record and analyse test data, maintaining detailed and organized records of laboratory procedures, results, and patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory results, provide insights into patient conditions, and contribute to the overall diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Stay updated with advances in laboratory technology, participating in continuous education programs and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards, ensuring the privacy and security of patient information and laboratory records.
• Assist in the preparation of research studies and experiments, providing technical expertise and support to scientific investigations.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring clear and concise exchange of information related to laboratory tests and results.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring an adequate stock of laboratory materials and reagents for testing procedures.
• Collaborate with pathologists and medical researchers to conduct specialized tests and experiments, contributing to the advancement of medical science and diagnostics.
• Train new laboratory technicians and interns, providing guidance and supervision in laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Participate in proficiency testing and external quality assessment programs, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, following safety protocols and guidelines for the disposal of hazardous materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and accuracy in test results.
• Collaborate with healthcare administrators to develop laboratory protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Attend laboratory safety training sessions and workshops, staying updated with the latest developments in laboratory safety practices.
• Collaborate with clinicians and pathologists to determine appropriate tests for specific medical conditions, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis for patients.
• Assist in the validation and implementation of new laboratory technologies and testing methods, conducting feasibility studies and performance evaluations.
