RTM International is going to appoint a number of skilled professionals for the study titled “A Ring Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Intervention to Reduce Cholera in Hotspots in Bangladesh (Urban Model)”. The required qualification and experiences for the position is given below:

• Attending a 14-day randomized controlled trial training.
• Attending monthly refresher trainings.
• Entering the collected data in the study database.
• Entering all paper forms into the study database within a week of data collection with the support of Research Officers.
• Screening and recruiting suspected cholera cases at health facilities.
• Conducting stool testing for cholera using the rapid VC Dipstick test.
• Obtaining informed consent, assent, and/or parental permission from for all study participants.
• Putting barcodes on all study forms, consent, assent, and parental permission forms, and water, blood, and fecal samples PRIOR to data and sample collection.
• Conducting searching for the eligible compounds where the cholera patients live.
• Enrolling eligible diarrhea and cholera patients, and administering baseline study questionnaires.
• Conducting household spot checks.
• Testing water samples for chlorine concentrations.
• Obtaining height, weight and MUAC measurements of study children.
• Conducting blood and fecal sample collection in the health facility and in the household.
• Administering clinical surveillance forms and mobile use survey to study participants.
• Conducting water sample collection at study households.
• Collecting blood samples from study participants.
• Transporting the samples following the SOP.
• Obtaining height and weight measurements of study children.
• Assist in obtaining GPS locations of households and water sources.
• Aliquoting collected water, blood and fecal samples into vials and on filter papers for storage and analysis.
• Checking all respective study forms collected for completeness.
• Maintenance of all respective devices and other tools or equipment used in the study.
• Attending weekly field team meetings with the evaluation and intervention team.
• Attending weekly meetings with the evaluation team only.
• Transcribing and translating in-depth interviews and focus group discussions.
• Coding open ended questions for knowledge, handwashing, and water treatment questions.
• Assisting in any other aspects of the pilot and intervention studies as directed by the Project Coordinator, Intervention Coordinator, or Principal Investigator.
• This position will include work early in the morning and late in the evenings and on Saturdays and Fridays.

Educational requirements:
• Minimum HSC pass.
Experience and other Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year experience in the related field.
