Job Circular for the position of Survey Manager

Job Context:
• MHPSS research project

Job Responsibility:
• The survey manager will follow and respect the survey methodologies for gathering available information on the context and survey planning. Prepare a data collection and execute plan for data collection, monitoring and supervision to the survey team.
• S/he will manage the team members, ensure all the logistics for training and supervision to the team members for data collection.
• Taking necessary actions to enhance the accuracy of data collected.
• Arrange for data collection with a K-SADS interview and other MHPSS instruments of maximum 550 selected Rohingya children and host community (names and household location to be provided by UNHCR research team). The interviews will be done by couples of research assistants (one psychologist and one Para counsellor).
• Onsite observation of psychologist’s and para-counsellors data collection and arrange feedback sessions for quality data.
• Follow the data collection at the field, detect the errors and support to quality data collection.
• Organized In person supervisions sessions for psychologist and para counsellors with support of ‘Trainer’ and Data coordinator of this research project.
• Share the data to UNHCR focal person on time and adjust all the recommendation-based recipient.
• Visiting teams in the field and making sure that before leaving the field, each team members are well equipped, tablets have sufficient power back up and reviews all questionnaires and survey forms to ensure that no pieces of data have been left out. In addition, the survey manager will report about the absence sample, selected household and any related information that connected with survey.
• The survey manager will continue track the referral cases that referred by the survey team and maintain strong coordination with MHPSS actors for MHPSS support to the refer cases.  
• Liaison with camp in charge office, and Civil surgeon and related government authority for the official approval of the data collection and submit official report to the government authority after data collection if required.
• Write a report with a summary of conducted activities, suggestions for future actions.

Employment Status:
• Short term contract (daily basis, estimated working time is 42 days)

Education Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Psychology or allied subjects.

Experience Requirements:
• At least 02-years experience in the relevant field.

Additional Requirements:
• Specific competency in humanitarian emergencies
• Significant experience in undertaking health surveys (design and methodologies, sampling, field supervision and managing team and survey report).
• Familiar with the use of the tablets and Open Data Kit Collect (ODK) and good computer skills.
