Job Context:
• MHPSS research project.
Job Responsibility:
• The trainer will work closely with the survey team (psychologists, para counselors, data coordinator, survey manager) and UNHCR team to support on the training and supervision on kobo tools, KSADS, and research tools;
• Coordinate with host institutions and UNHCR team to meet the queries of local IRB and follow up the process for ethical approval;
• Prepare an adapted version of the semi structured clinical interview (K-SADS), based on the electronic version of the K-SADS that will be provided to the trainer. Adaptations include translation of probing questions into the Rohingya/Bangla language and putting adapted k-SADS on tablets;
• Arrange a training of 7 days for the 22 research participants (1 survey manager, 1 data coordinator,10 psychologist and 10 para-counsellors). Prepare the technical content of the K-SADs training in close collaboration and under supervision of UNHCR mental health experts;
• Organize an inter-rater reliability assessment of the research assistants (in which couples of research assistant score the same mock patient);
• Prepare the training contents and handouts for data enumerators;
• Organized In person supervisions sessions for data enumerators (psychologist and para counsellor) to meet the queries and support for quality data;
• Provide technical support to data coordinator and survey manager for quality data collection;
• Prepare a training and supervision plan for all the research team and write a report with a summary of conducted activities, suggestions for future actions;
Employment Status:
• Short term contract (daily basis).
Education Requirements:
• Minimum master’s degree in related field (Psychology, Social Science, Philosophy).
Experience Requirements:
• At least 05-years experience in the relevant field.
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with MHPSS research and different MHPSS instruments such as PHQ-9, GAD-7 etc;
• Experience with arranging and supervising data collection ;
• Experience in training research assistants for data collection in mental health;
• Working experience in Rohingya context.
