RTM International is going to appoint a number of skilled professionals in the following positions funded by UNICEF to provide Primary health Care services, family planning and nutrition services for Rohingya and Host Communities in Cox’s Bazar District. Name of the Position:
• Nutrition Specialist - Field.
• One (01) year.
Employment Status:
• Short term contract.
Job Responsibilities:
In collaboration & under the direction of HFSP/Project Director/Project Coordinator / Project Manager, the Nutrition Specialist will:
• Act as a focal person for the Nutrition Project.
• Develop weekly & monthly work plan towards accomplishment of project requirement and monitor the plan accordingly.
• Develop action plan to improve IYCF practice as per national guideline and provide technical guidance.
• Assessment of IYCF needs, malpractices & work analysis with recommendations.
• Ensure to build the capacity of CHV Supervisors and CHWs on the community IYCF counseling techniques & ensure that appropriate techniques are applied all the time.
• Ensure formation of the mother support group at the community level and Community IYCF counseling conducted for the group members on regular basis.
• Identify model mothers & explore their best experiences and replicate the best experience in order to improve IYCF practice within the community.
• Ensure appropriate counseling for pregnant & lactating women, care takers of beneficiaries & mother groups on Exclusive Breast Feeding, Complementary feeding and Maternal& child nutrition.
• Ensure setting up of breast-feeding corner at each Health facility.
• Help to identify/develop appropriate IYCF related IEC materials & Flash cards in local language and ensure that the materials are used during each counseling.
• Provides nutrition related all technical support to the program.
• Organize refresher training & seminar related to nutrition.
• Submit monthly report regarding IYCF & other nutrition related activities to PD/ PC or some times to Donor on time.
• Any other responsibility assigned by the authority.
Educational requirements:• Honor’s & Master’s in Nutrition from a recognized university.
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 3-year(s) experience in the related field.
